Which hotel to stay at in Venice

Can anyone recommend a hotel in Venice for one night before we catch the cruise ship.

We're staying at Locando Orseolo after our cruise in Oct. of next year. It got really great reviews on tripadvisor. Do a search--they have a website.

Loved the Academia pesione. They are on thre internet. We have stayed at the Gritti ,Bauer and the Danielle, but loved the Academia and its very laid back atmosphere.

We are also staying at Locanda Orseolo. We'll be there for four night s pre-cruise in May. It has received wonderful reviews. You can get a water taxi directly to the hotel. It is very close to San Marco.
