Spiros the Taxi Driver

Has anyone used him in Athens? I've just booked him for an Athens tour on 11/6 (Brilliance of the Seas).

We used him in October to pick us up at disembarkation, take us on a half day tour of Athens, and drop us off at our Athens hotel. We were extremely satisfied.

We used Spiros and he sent an associate instead. We were a little concerned, but Mikos turned out to be great. he was very loyal to Spiros.Enjoy! Peg

how to do i get a hold of spiros?? how much he charges?? i will be on athens on the med-greek islands on granprincess on sept 23 from rome

Do a search on the cruise critic forum /europe

I read a lengthy thread there about him -- I believe he brokers for other taxi drivers, so that its rare that you actually get spiros. Most people are happy with the service however, there were some complaints from people who thought they would get spiros and did not.

I didn't realize that we were lucky to get Spiros himself.

Our 8AM-1PM half-day was 125 Euros.

Here is what we negotiated with him:
"The duration of Athens half day tour is about 6 hours.This tour includes;
The Acropolis, the changing of the guards, the stills of Olympia Zeus, our
national stadium, Saint George Lycabettus, the Greek and Roman
agora, and then lunch and shopping at the Plaka area.
The price for this tour is 130 Euros." (2 people).

I'm was assuming he will be our guide.

How long did it take for him to respond? I sent him an email a few days ago and still no response but Paul and George (other recommended drivers) responded immediately.

I have George booked for my upcoming trip in June -- I think they come just as well recommended.

I really can't recall how long it took him to respond, but I thought it was shortly after I contacted him back in March.
