Does anyone have an opinion. Is rental car near port?
If you want to go to Granada, take a tour from the ship.
>> 1. The major attractions, like Alhambra, tend to have long lines. The tours have reserved times, so they bypass the lines. If you go on your own, you wait in line.
>> 2. If there's an accident on the highway, the ship waits for the tours. If you go on your own, the ship does not wait for you.
What you may save by going on your own is not worth either the loss of sightseeing time or the risk of missing the ship if you are delayed.
We're doing a private tour, six of us, so we'll see how it turns out. I would not want to drive that distance myself, not knowing directions, roads. I have heard elsewhere that getting around Malaga itself can be quite confusing. When are you going? I can tell you how our trip turns out near the end of June.
