I would love any recommendations for lodging prior to our departure on a cruise. We plan to stay for two nights. Any help is greatly appreciated. Never been there . Would like a place not far from the cruise port. Thanks
Thanks to helpful cruisers last year we found the Hotel Continental.. right on The Ramblas.. a boutique(read that as eccentric) that looks like it was decorated by your great, great, great grandmother..lol. We found lots of cruisers there plus back packers..There is a large continental breakfast, refreshments afailable all day long and free internet service at the front desk..The hotel is across the street from The Ramblas and the outside rooms (desirable) have a balcony with bistro set to sit and watch the action on The Ramblas...also, thanks to cruisers found a great guide.. When we book our next cruise which will be out of Barcelona we will book this hotel immediately.. parrotmom@comcast.net
What abt the Majestic? Also how long is the taxi ride from the aiport to the main hotel area & cost in US $ & how long is the ride from hotel area to the ports? hope to go 2 days ahead & se as much as we can!
Re a Barcelona hotel, we stayed at the H10 right on Plaza Catalunya. It's one of the best hotels we have stayed at. It is on the other side of Las Ramblas, not too close to the port, but it has the subway a few feet away, an excellent breakfast, it's in a safe place and the hotel is very clean and has FREE wine, milk, coffee, sandwiches and internet round the clock. And the price was great for all 3 of us. Hope this helps someone. Ciao.
