How do you get to the Venice Airport?

My husband and I will be on the Grand Princess Europe - Mediterranean cruise in April and May. We will disembark in Venice. We plan to spend the day in Venice and then fly out that night to London. This will be our first trip to Venice. We would love any information anyone could give us about flying out of Venice. What is the easiest way to get to the airport? What is the cheapest way to get to the airport?

Thanks for any help you can give us!!

Take a cab. The dock where the cruise ships end up has easy access for you to take a cab to the airport. Check out this website.

when u click on it look for the british flag in left hand corner and click on that for english. Then click on airport map and you will see where airport is located in comparison to the airport, and it will also have links to transportation.

The waterboat service is another option that we've heard good things about. There are various pick up points around Venice, the tours office on the ship should have all the information but this link might help.
