Just got an email from ATHENSTAXI, our tour provider, that there will be general elections in Greece on Oct 4 2009 and that all the archaeological sites will be closed that day.
If you were planning on visiting the acropolis you can still get some great views and take some nice pictures from the plaka area without going to the actual site.
