Is it posible to do the Amalfi Coast and Capri?

Very difficult on your own but there are some ship tours that do both. Tough choice - first time we did Capri on our own as we were tired after 4 10 hour tours in a row. Beautiful area

Ever since I saw Giada DeLaurentis in Capri on her show,and saw there was an amazing jewelry shop there,[ I have the name,} I need to go there

Capri is very, very easy to do on your own and we really enjoyed it.

The Amalfi coast toward Sorrento is so magnificent and scenic, I think I'd choose a tour along the coast, then you can judge your time on your return, and do Capri on your own if there's time.

If you are based in Sorrento, very easy!

Capri is accessible by boat/hydrofoil from Sorrento.

Amalfi coast - take the local bus.

I suppose you could take a bus to Salerno and then a ferry to Capri. That way you cruise the Almalfi Coast and end up on Capri.

I was told the ferry/hydrofoil is right there as you dock, in Naples..50 minutes each way, so, 2 hrs out of your day already..I am very torn..

Sorry Trip - I did not realise Naples was a port of call.

How long do you have in Naples? Hydrofoil is apparently 40 mins each way

I am not shure about the distances- so if it would be possible to make the Amalfi Coast + Capri in one day. I made a tour from naples to the ruins of Pompeji and then to Sorrento with a private driver. Probably you could visit a part of te eAmalfi Coast instead of the ruins and Sorrento! From Sorrento we took the hyfrofoil to Capri-duration about 35 minutes- had time to visit the island - and then turned back to Naples directly from capri.
