Default Cruising on Royal Olympic's Stella Solaris

Need information about the lines. Has anyone been on this ship within the last two years? Interested to hear your opinion about the ship, ports, and tours. I have heard mixed reviews. I really want to see the beautiful Greek islands. We are taking a land tour with Trafalgar and 7 night cruise afterward. Have you done this? Please respond. Thanks!

The Stella Solaris is currently laid up with mechanical problems, and the rumor
is she won't ever be back. It's a shame, since so many people love this old ship, with its loyal staff. Even though Royal Olympic is still taking bookings, I would pick another ship.

I'd recommend one of Royal Olympic's new ships, such as the Olympic Voyager or her sister, Olympic Explorer. Both are excellent. Other ships in Royal Olympic's fleet are old and not well maintained. Orient Lines and Renaissance are both excellent in this part of the world as well. You may want to check them out in our Ship review area.

Jean:
I would stay away from Royal Olympic altogether. We were on the Triton
last year. Granted it is an old ship but we talked with many of the staff and
they really had nothing good to say about the line. There are better
lines to tour the Greek Islands. Do a little more research. The islands
are fantastic you will not regret going just do it on a better ship.

I agree, for the time being stay away from Royal Olympic. They haven't taken possession of their newest ship, Olympic Explorer, because of financial problems.
This is a shaky company.

Well Anne, I certainly hope you're wrong because we are booked for a cruise to the Greek Islands with Stella Solaris in September.
I shall be sure to report back on our holiday when we return.
Cheers,
Lee
