Default Vigo Spain for Santiago

Anyone been on a cruise that stops in Vigo, Spain. We want to go to the pilgrimage town of Santiago about 1 1/2 hours by train. Train time table doesn't fit with the ship's arrival. Leaves little time for sight seeing. Anyone know of private tour operators at this port ?

We stopped in Vigo last year. The ship docks right in the city. There are lots of taxis waiting for fares. Another option is Bayona... a wonderful resort town about 30 minutes from the city. We hired a taxi and driver to take us there and wait for us. We went after lunch but if we had it to do over again, we'd eat lunch there, too... the seafood restaurants with outdoor seating, looked terrific.

We used a private car with a driver-guide to get there. We booked it through Portside Tours. Price was $350 I believe... We were 4 people, and we hired the car for the full day. The guide was excellent!
