I would highly recommend the Restaurant San Giovanni in the Ravello area. Our driver took us there befire we visited Ravello and managed to get us a table on the terrace with stunning views of Ravello. We bought a bottle of local Limoncello at the restaurant.somewhat cheaper than in Naples. WWW.ristorantesangiovanni.com

I had a wonderful lunch in Positano at a beach front restaurant. Sorry forgot the name. But it's a bit of a walk down to the beach in Positano.

There was a write-up on Positano and some recommended restaurants in the Sept 2002 Travel & Leisure magazine. See if your local library has a copy.

Chez Black on beach in Positano
Ristorant Antico Francischiello halfway between Sorrento & Massa Lubrense
Cumpa Cosimo in Ravello
Donna Rosa in Montepertuso (VERY expensive but worth every penny)
Zio Sam outside Sorrento (VERY cheap, great place- all locals)

I also endorse the Restaurant San Giovanni near Ravello,it was great to get away from Ravello and find somewhere cool with a great view and not full of tour groups.Don't be herded into places like sheep -there are places that the locals use.Tell your driver to take you to Pontone ,a left turn on the way up to Ravello and the San Giovanni was near the village square. There Website is WWW.ristorantesangiovanni.com
