Default Harwich to London

We are arriving at Harwich on July 6 and need to get to London, where we have extended our stay, so do not qualify for HAL's transfer.
Any ideas?
I so far have Emailed a limo company to inquire about rates, and there is a train to London (reasonable), but it puts us out miles from our hotel.
Any other ideas?

Thanks
Ben

Ben,

Liverpool Street station is a hub for most of the subway lines. Take the subway to a station close to your hotel, then take a cab. We are arriving also on July 6th and plan to do exactly that. I believe the train from Harwich leaves around 11:00.

Good Luck

Hi,
I'm not sure if this is the private car/van service you are looking at. There are prices listed. It seemes to be a good rate for a small group. Here is the link:
http://www.acxtransfers.com/national.htm

The train from Harwich will take you to the Paddington station. The tube or a taxi will get you to your hotel from there. The taxi fare is by zone and prety fair.

I Hope this gives you a few more options.

I have a correction, sorry. The train from Harwich takes you to the Liverpool St. station. Take the tube or taxi from there to your hotel. The express train from Heathrow take you to Paddington, sorry again.

Hi Ben,
We have done this several times....you can actually purchase on board the ship a return transfer to I believe it is Victoria Station, which would put you in the heart of London. And it a a ton cheaper than a private car! It iis arranged by the shore excursions desk. Hope this helps!

Actually that is what we are going to do, and it appears that we are on the same ship!

Here is the name of a transportation service that may be able to help you if you have too much luggage to carry on the train.
<nibbs@airport-transfers.fsnet.co.uk>
I will be using him in Sept. Mention my name if you use him. I think his prices were reasonable compared to others.
