Default Barcelona Hotels

We are planning to spend one night before and one after the cruise in Barcelona, to ensure a relaxed time before the cruise and then afterward before ou flight home.
Any suggestions about hotels that are not too expensive or too cheap.
Cleanliness is important to us as is air conditioning and central location.
Any comments or suggestions based on experience would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Georgina

My wife and I will be staying in Barcelona in mid September, the day after we disembark. We will be at the Hotel Del'arc situated on La Rambla 19-21. It' $150 per night for the two of us. You can contact them at: spainhotels@clickinternational.com

Good luck,

R

Our agent recommended the Hilton in Barcelona. Looks pretty nice and not far from the port or town.

The Barcelona Hilton is nice, however you will need to take a cab to most of the "tourist" areas. We stayed there for a post cruise night a couple of years ago.

Stayed at the Regencia Colon last year. It fits your stated requirments perfectly, and is located smack in the middle of the old city across from the cathedral

Here's the website:

We loved the Rivoli Ramblas. It's at the top of the Ramblas. Great location. Good air conditioning. Not too expensive.

We haven't been to Barcelona before but we're staying a day before and a day after our cruise on Sept. 18th. We've booked the Hotel Silver for 80 euros per night. It seems to be in a good location and it was in the top 20 of Barcelona hotels on Trip Advisor. Here's the review: http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Rev...Catalonia.html

The hotel's website is www.hotelsilver.com

They answered my inquiry within 24 hours, which also gave me a good impression, but, since we've never been there, it'll be an adventure!

We're staying at the Atrium Palace next June. It's a newer hotel, good location, used by Royal Caribbean. We booked it independently at a lower cost.

We are also considering the Atrium Palace based on good reviews, location and conservative pricing. Have a second hotel I'm considering, closer to the cruise ships & around the same price range approx. $145-165 Euros with breakfast.
Thanks to everyone for your suggestions.

We are staying for 3 nights after the 10/9 RC Splendour cruise and booked the Atenea Mar based on very positive TripAdvisor reviews . 4 stars and only 90 Euro/nt, plus rave reviews seemed like a good deal to us! www.bchoteles.com

We stay at the LLEO for about 135.00 and includes breakfast one block from the Ramblas at the center of everything, very centric hotel. And very nice. Found it on British Airways vacations.
