Default Livorno-Florence

Aside from the ship's "Florence on your own" bus, are there other convenient ways to get to Florence from Livorno? Besides the Duomo, San Marco Museum, Uffizi and Michaelangelo's David, what are your favorite must-sees in Florence? Anything for older teens?

Default Re: Livorno-Florence

My neice is studying abroad in Florence and is putting something together for me, what to see, not to see, where to eat, how to get there etc. I would be glad to share once she has it together. Hopefully will be soon. If you would like to e-mail me with your address I will copy it to you once received. I'll be there in May. She is 19 so probably has good insight on what to do.
