Default St Peter Port Guernsey

On a recent trip on QE2, our scheduled stop at St Peter Port was cancelled because seas were too rough to launch the tenders. Others on our dining table said this had happened to them on previous occasions.

My elderly mother is thinking of a short cruise on the QE2 (as we've raved about it!!) and I just wonder if it is worth doing an itinerary that includes Guernsey or whether it is likely to be another day at sea!

Has anyone any comments?

I hear that alot and wonder what will happen when I go there in Sept. on the Sea Princess. Guernsey is a tender port, which needs fairly decent sea conditions.

Princess only schedules 5 hrs. there, which is not long for the logistics of tendering!
I booked a tour for that reason, figure if I'm on a tour at least I'll be able to get off and seeing something of the island!

Hope the weather is kind to you and that you are able to visit Guernsey - as you say, 5 hours is not long!

Have a lovely cruise.
