Default Shore excursion-Monaco

This is our first cruise to the Med in October. First port is Monaco--Any suggestions for 1 day tour.

Yes. If your cruise line offers it, the walking tour of the old town is well worthwhile. It includes the magnificent cathedral and the palace.

Thanks for the input. I guess I will get a good map and plan on a day of walking.

I highly recommend the ship's tour because there are usually very long lines to get into the royal palace. The tours have reserved times, so they bypass the lines.

You probably will have plenty of time to explore Monte Carlo on your own after the tour, though!

Thanks Norm, we will take a herd look at the cruise tour for the Palace. Do you know if the ship actually docks in Monte Carlo.

Nick,

Do you know if the ship actually docks in Monte Carlo.

If the ship actually calls at Monte Carlo, it's a tender port. Some ships call at Nice or Villefranche, where I believe that they actually dock, instead, but you'll want to use the ship's tour if the ship calls at either of those ports due to the distance involved.

The ittenary shows Monte Carlo, so I assume we will be tied up or anchored close by.
Thanks, Nick
