It's been many years since we visted Tunisa but I reacall that we visited a pretty town where all the buildings were white with blue doors and windows, and there were stalls selling lots of cheap jewelry and leather. The shopkeepers were so aggressive that I was afraid to walk alone on the streets. We also visited some ancient ruins from the phoenician days that were quite striking and very interesting old baths and other structures. We even stopped at a cemetary from world war 2 where American soldiers were buried. It was beautifully maintained and large. It was an interesting visit and if you are not visiting other places in North Africa, such as Moroco, it would be a very different stop from others you normally get in the mediterranean such as in Italy or Greece.
