Default Scandinavia Ship Excursions

We're taking Princess to Scandinavia in June and while we've booked the St. Petersburg tour because of the visa issues, we're wondering if we need ship excursions for any of the other destinations or if we can do it on our own - Stockholm, Oslo, Helsinki, Talinn, Gdanks. I'm especially concerned about Stockholm because Princess docks an hour away and there's so little time there, I don't want to waste it. But I know that ship excursions are usually overpriced and they are also short, so it gives even less time in these one-day stops. Thanks for any advice.
