Default Open tour seats on Magic, May10 sailing from Barcelona.

Hi all.

We have an open, shared shore excursion that goes to Florence and Pisa while we are in port in Livorno. The website is www.shareashoreexcursioninitaly.com. The tour group is called "Bob's Group." Would love to have some others folks join us.

The cost is 75Euros /per person if we have eight people sign up. It includes going to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, but does not include tickets to go up the Tower, which must be purchased separately.

Here is the tour description from their website:

Depart the pier and drive through the tuscan countryside for about 1 hour and start exploring the city of Florence, visiting the Piazzale Michelangelo first to see the spectacular view and beautiful Michelangelo statues over the course of the following hours your group will see Accademia’s Gallery or Uffizi Gallery with some of the most famous pieces of art in the world. You will also get to see both the Baptistery and the Duomo to first-hand witness the beauty and strength of ancient architecture. And to get a real feel for Italy’s history we will wander Piazza della Signoria and the church of Santa Croce to see the tombs of artists and philosophers alike. Please keep in mind that the museums are closed on Mondays therefore we will have extra time for shopping and will be able to stop by the famous leather market.
Proceed after your lunch to Pisa.
The town of Pisa has been a Roman colony and in 89 B.C and was an important naval base and trading port for the Romans. We will visit its most celebrated attraction, the Leaning Tower which has become, along with the Coliseum, gondolas and spaghetti, a symbol for the entire Italian Republic.
At the "Field of Miracles" we can see the Leaning Tower, the cathedral, the “Campo Santo” cemetery, the Baptistery, and the cathedral museum. The tower has been recently re-opened after a long restoration, and you are now permitted to scale to the top of the tower and admire the fantastic view. The climb to the top is an experience in itself, as you can feel the “lean” in the structure while you wind your way to the peak
