Default Terrorism & cruising.........

Does the cowardly terrorist attack in Norway today make you less likely to cruise to that area in europe? Does anybody have any info in regards to cruiselines canceling port calls in Oslo?

We are off to the Norwegian Fjords on Sunday (unless HAL are adivsed to change the itinerary), fortunately we were not due to call in to Oslo, but it will still be a very sad cruise knowing the pain & worry that the nation will be suffering.

But the way we look at it is if we never went back to NYC, or London, or Paris, or Belfast or any of the other beautiful places in this world, then the terrorists win and we lose.

I grew up in Europe in the mid 80s. Germany specifically. All kinds of craziness going on back then. We were at Rhein-Main when the bomb went off by the HQ building in 1985. Lived on base. Felt the ground rumble. Also over there for the bombing at the ticket counter at Frankfurt International in I wanna say 1986. While I will always exercise caution when travelling in places where something could happen, I will never let fear rule my life's experiences. The moment we start doing that, they've won already.

Past cruises:

Disney Dream - Dec 2013 4n Bahamas
Disney Dream - Dec 2012 4n Bahamas
Carnival Imagination - Dec 2011 4n Western
Carnival Imagination - Nov 2010 4n Western
Costa Atlantica - Dec 2009 7n Eastern

My opinions are mine and mine alone. They do not represent the opinions of The Walt Disney Company nor any of its subsidiaries.

Unless the UK FO bans travel, nothing would stop me.

As said before,if we stop travelling - the terrorists win.

Statistically, you have more chance of being injured crossing the road.

My sympathy goes to the Norwegians.
