One big thing is when in Katakolon, Greece, do NOT take any shore excursions to Olympia! It's much MUCH cheaper to do your own thing. There's a wonderful train that goes from the port to Olympia that is very cheap and you can do your own thing, on your own time, and spend alot less money while not being herded like cattle.

You can get more information here; Katakolon Train

In Venice you can take a taxi to the port. It's about a 15-20 min drive depending on traffic. I can't remember how much, but not out of bounds for a normal taxi.
In Athens a must see is the Acropolis and Parthenon.
In Tureky if your port is kudiashi u must take Ephesus tour. This is right out of the bible. Paul preached to the Ephesians. He spent three years there in his ministry
There are web links on this site for transportation from ship to airport in Rome.
In Rome you really need two days. But u can still see a lot in the 12 hour port stop.

Check out what I had to say about Olympia here; Question for Eastern Med Cruise

It's not very far - about 45 minutes by train, which is the easiest and cheapest way to get there.

Take a regular taxi, not a water taxi in Venice; relatively fast and cheap. Rome I would either arrange for a car/limo or take taxi to airport. Long trip but fast. Real question is why you are not doing a pre-cruise in Venice and/or post-cruise in Rome; both fantastic cities.
