I am thinking about doing a 10 day Panama Canal cruise with my children aged 11, 8, & 5. Does anyone know if this ship will have enough activities for them, or will they be miserable. There will only be 28 kids within their age catagory on this cruise. Does that mean there will be very little to do except color? Thanks in advance.(Just a mom wondering if I spend a ton of money to go on Princess instead of carvival, I will be sorry).
I'm the new Family Cruise Editor for CruiseMates.com. I checked with Princess Cruises and there is a youth and also a teen center on Crown Princess. Therefore, the youth program will be operating when you take your children on the Panama Canal cruise. While there will not be as many children aboard a Panama Canal cruise as there are in the Caribbean, there should be enough for your children to enjoy the cruise. We've gone on 10 family cruises with our seven year old daughter and the Princess Cruises' youth program was one of our favorites. Nice kids' facilities, warm youth counselors, and interesting yet fun activities. Have a great trip!
