Just wondering if I should ask my boys' pediatrician whether they can take (or will need?) sea sickness medication. I know I'll need it based on past cruising exper. Has anyone else needed med. for their children? I have a 2 year old and a 4 year old.
I'm the family cruise editor here. The only time my daughter got seasick (she's been on 9 cruises) was the first night of her first cruise when she was 2-1/2 years. We did give her some dramamine -- we just asked our pediatrician prior how much we should give her of the adult dose. Since then, I've purchased SEA BANDS which my daughter gladly wears if she is feeling sea sick. They go around your wrists and really do help without side affects. You can get them at drugstores or in the shops aboard ship. (I prefer them to the dramamine since there are side affects to the dramamine -- tiredness, etc.)
Smooth sailing!
