My wife and I are traveling with our 3 kids (ages 1-7 years old) on the NCL Sea in November. We are wondering about the quality of the kid's activities. My wife is a little concerned about leaving the kids during the kids' activities. How is safety for the kid's activities for the 4 and 7 year olds? Will there be babysitting for the 1 year old?
I'm the family cruise editor here and NCL offers a good youth program. We cruised with NCL when my daughter was about five or six years old and she had a great time. (She's now 9 years old and has been on 12 cruises -- so you can see that we think that the youth programs at sea are safe and fun!) NCL's youth program starts at age two therefore there will not be any baby-sitting or activities for your one year old. I found at that age, however, that just walking around a big ship and going on glass elevators is great entertainment for toddlers! (We've taken our one year old on two cruises already and he was fine.) My husband and I generally alternate the days that we will each care for or stay in the cabin when the baby is sleeping. That way, when the older kids are in the youth program, one of you can get some time all to yourself! How nice!
Feel free to ask any other questions and let me know how you liked your cruise.
