What are the best excursions someone MUST SEE on the Western Caribbean? Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? My husband and I will be cruising on the Grand Princess 12/15.

We've done the Dunn's River Falls excursion in Jamaica twice and thought it was pretty fun. I also went on the shore excursion in Mexico to Tulum -- long day but worth seeing the Mayan temples and ruins. Bring plenty of water and film for your camera!
Smooth sailing,

Hi, I noted your response and I will be in Jamaica over new Years--with a 6 and 7 year old; I am curious--will they be able to do this excursion or not?
Do we need water shoes?
any advice will be greatly appreciated--first time!

HI Gt,
I would think you would be able to take you kids on the Falls, but yes you will need water shoes. I usually just take an old pair of sneakers, they worked great. Those rocks on the falls are slippery, so be sure to hold on to both kids while going.

Sting Ray City is a must. Dunns River Falls is great fun, yes the rocks are very slippery but there are enough people in the chain to help your girls, also there is a walkway alongside the falls if you feel its too dangerous for your girls to climb the falls. IF you like to swim i would recommend taking a guided snorkel tour of the Palencaar Reef in Cozumel, its very easy, the current moves you along effortlessy.
