As my cruise gets closer, I am thinking about the logistics of living on a ship for a week. One issue I am wondering about is baby play time. My daughter is 13 months and still very much a floor baby. Her thing is crawling around endlessly. Where in the ship (our cabin?) can she do this? I am not too fussy about everything she touch being crystal clean (I can wash her hands) but I think in most public places she will be hopelessly underfoot.
the only place she will be able to crawl around will be in your cabin and on the beach. All other times your best bet would be a baby backpack, maybe an umbrella stroller for on deck.
Dear Erika:
During the day, there are many indoor lounges that no one uses that would be perfect for letting your little one crawl to her heart's content. The lounges are usually carpeted making them baby friendly.
Feel free to ask any additional questions about cruising with an infant/toddler.
Smooth sailing,

We had a similary issue with out 16 mth old - only her thing was just walking aimlessly in circles! Luisa's suggestion is great - we used many of the lounges during the day, they are always open and have lots of room. Our daughter loved running up and down the aisles! You can probably baricade a little area with lounge chairs by the pool to.
