Where and how do you find your bargain cruises!

Just wondering where and how do you find your bargain cruises ? We just returned from our first cruise on the CCL Sensation. We are interested in taking the kids with us on a cruise this summer but wondered if there was a good way to locate bargains. Is it best to book way in advance or last minute? Is there some web sites better than others or is it best to go through the cruise line?

First read the article written recently about using TA/ Cruise line direct /on line TA's etc by cruisemates consumer affairs writer. Second , sign yourself up on each cruiseline's web site to get their last minute deals. The answer to most of your questions is in fact
there is in fact no majic answer to any of these "what is best" questions. Check out multiple options, make a choice you can live with and move ahead with it.
Classic wisdom was book early to get the best price and exact choice of accomadation.
Wait till absolute last minute can get you a good price but something you have your heart set on doing may be booked. Last minute booking is usually best done by someone with a totally flexible schedule , like (but not limited to) retirees.

if you have the time to go surfing the net, then check out the discount travel sights. There are a lot of them! Post your request here on the Bargain Finder, a travel agent will e-mail you with info. I would strongly suggest getting yourself to a travel agent, let her do all the leg-work for you. A travel agent worth her weight will get you the best price, either equal to or better than you could find on the net, and think of all that time you spent amiously surfing around for a deal.

I recomend an agency i found here on cruisemates. They seem to be consistently lower than anyone else I have priced. There in the classified ads section(Cruise Bizarre). Its called Cruise & Travel Authority. I think they have a number there too. Best of luck.
