I WILL BE IN GC AND WOULD LIKE TO TAKE MY 3 YR OLD TO THE TURTLE FARM BUT DONT WANT TO USE THE RCCL TOUR SINCE THEY USE A BUS, I NEED TO USE THE CAR SEAT (SAFETY FIRST!). HOW WOULD I GET TO THE TURTLE FARMAND IS THERE ANYWHERE THERE TO STORE THE SEAT? THX
We constantly have car seat concerns when traveling. Just keep in mind that not all cabs in the Caribbean will have working seat belts -- they might, but you never know...
Good Luck!

har far is the turtle farm by taxi, i would be Okay with a quick 5 minute ride but not some 20-30 minute journey? any idea on the cost to get into the farm and is there a web site for the turtle farm in GC?
For $15 per person I believe, we just took a taxi tour to a few main spots. The turtle farm, past 7 mile beach and to "Hell". It was a round trip ride from the pier and back and we were done in about 2 hours at the most. Maybe not even that long. The taxi driver got us in for a cheaper rate as a "tour" but that was last year and I don't remember the price. Sorry.
We're concerned about the same for our upcoming cruise. We're going to get a portable car seat from www.onestepahead.com called a tote n go. It's $30 but lightweight. I still need to order it. I've been checking out options & that's the best I could find.
TO KJF:
Thanks for your input -- I hadn't heard of portable car seats! I'd love to hear from you once you get it and put it into use to see if it was worth the investment.
Smooth sailing,
