I'm a first time cruiser and am going with my family on august 14 on the carnival victory. I was wondering if my 18 year old son will have a lot to do there. Its going to canada and starting at new york. So it seems like there might not be that many kids his age. Does anybody have experience with these kind of trips or is anybody going on these dates.
David:
Since you're going during the peak vacation season, I bet your son will find other older teens to hand out with. Carnival does not offer the teen program for those 16 to 18, but they do organize limited activities (like going to a show together, etc.) for this age group.
Smooth sailing,

We're going on the Victory 6/28 (5 more days) and we'll have 14yo girl, 16yo boy, 17yo boy and 18 yo boy in our group. Our experience is that there are always teenagers during vacation time on cruise ships. Some cruise ships allow drinking and gambling at 18, I noticed Carnival requires 21 and over for drinking, which I'm happy about. I just hope they enforce it. Enjoy your cruise. We're hoping for some warmer weather and SUN. It hasn't been that way in NY for weeks!
