Hi,
I am looking for a cruise to western caribbean. (the kids want to see Mexico) however, I would like a cabin that would acommodate me, my husband and 3 kids. Does such a thing exist? I would prefer an outside cabin with or without balcony. Any info would be great!
Thanks,
Dina
I'm pretty sure RCI has family suites for 6. Check their Voyager class ships since they're the newest.
Smooth sailing,

We were on the Celebrity Millenium in the spring. There were 5 of us (9 month old, 3 and 5 year olds). The older kids were on the bunk beds (and LOVED it). We just used the couch, flipped it backward against the wall and instant crib...Celebrity did provide a portable crib but by then there were no room left in the cabin so we had it taken away the second day. Mind you we were there only to get change and sleep so space did not matter all that much.
As a side note the Millenium kids program was on par with Disney where we went the year before.
Were booked on the Elation for Thanksgiving week. 2 adults, 3 kids ages 13, 11 and 6. First ever cruise and I bet we will be cramped, but were going to give it a shot! It was not a problem booking a room for 5.
Well you know we had a 24 foot motor home and we are family of five,we used to do 2 or 3 weeks in that thing together, of course just like a cruise you don't spend all day in it( or your cabin) so I say it's doable. You don't have to cook in it, or clean it , or make up the beds so how bad can it be? In a perverse way I enjoyed the closeness it forced on us, we chatted more, that being said , our kids grew, and now with a 13 yr old boy , an 11 year old boy and a 7 year old girl it just got a little too cramped so we sold it this last year, we will now rent a 28 footer .
I guess my point is, it's only a week , so if you can find a cabin that sleeps 5 go for it and use the extra money to pay for the shore excursions( which can add up substanially for a family) . Have fun, it's all in your mindset!
I you have not found something yet please call the gentleman that
I book through he is so helpful. His addy is: www.cruiseone.com/aschwark
I hope this will help you. Have a blast.
The family suite on the RCCL Explorer was quite large and had a queen bed, sofa sleeper and another small room with bunk beds. It sleeps 6 comfortably and is in the front of the ship with large windows and a beautiful view.
We just came back from the Elation to Mexico- GREAT Trip!!! Please let me know how it is with the 5 of you. We want to take our children next time. ages 12, 14 and 15 all girls. Thanks. Nancy
