cayman islands turtle farm

My 7 yr old daughter and I did the turtle farm in June 03. I STRONGLY recommend that if you go you take a cab and the tour on your own. We booked our excursion through the ship and everything was so RUSH! RUSH! RUSH!! We really didnt enjoy it at all but I really think we would had we been on our own and could do it at our own pace.

how far is the cab ride to the turtle farm, would a 3 yr old, 5 yr old and 6 yr old enjoy it? can you give me details of what to do there (not on the ship excursion but if we went on our own)?
