We'll be heading out on the northbound itinerary July 14th with a daughter (age 13) and a son (age 14) on the Carnival Spirit. I'd love to hear from others who have done this cruise with young teens, or from anyone who is scheduled to go!
YOu may want to read the article that I wrote on this section on what to do with kids in Alaska. Feel free to read add'l q's. Alaska is a fabulous family destination, especially with older kids who can participate in active excursions.

We took this cruise last year with my 14 year old son. There will be some teens on the ship. If they are social, most of the teens hang together. They do have programs for them. I took my 14 year old on a helicopter tour and walk around a glacier. He had a great time.
Note too that there are teens only excursions that your teens can opt for. Basically the teens get together at the beginning of the cruise and select which excursions they'd like to go on as a group.
