We are due to cruise on March the 7th and my 3 yr old is not yet completely potty trained!!
Will they change her at the Camp Carnival? What are the "potty" facilities like (small toilets?) or should I supply them with our own potty/toilet seat?
Finally, she also has major separation anxiety which might be helped at the Camp if my 8 and 6 year old kids are within her view...or, are they TOTALLY separated?
Worried that taking her may have been the wrong decision!!
They do change diapers at Camp Carnival. the groups are 2-5, 6-8, 9-11, so your younger will be separated from the older ones. I read somewhere that sometimes they will let the older one in the younger group, so you could have your 3 and 6 together. Mine are 2 and 5 so they were together and that worked well, they only paged me once because the 5 year old was taken to a separate party and the 2 yo didn't appreciate not being able to go with her. I don't know what the potty facilities are like.
You're in luck since Carnival counselors are the only ones who do change diapers in case she's not totally potty trained. Yes, the kids will be in separate areas. While they may (or may not) allow your older one with the younger one, your older child may not be happy about hanging out with the little ones. Maybe promise her some kind of reward if she goes to the kids' program alone. You never know! My kids unfortunately respond well to bribery!
Smooth sailing,
