I looked up the book that you suggested on cruising with kids....it is out of print right now so, I am wondering if you could give me some help with the Mexican Riviera ports with 2 small kids (2 & 5)...We are going to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, & Cabo San Lucas at the end of this month. I really appreciate your help....we probably will not do any shore excursions through the ship since none of them seem to be "toddler friendly!"
Did you have a look at your local library for whatever book you're mentioning? Our local library has a lot of books (or can get them thru interlibrary loan) that are out of print. Just a thought if you're really wanting to read a specific book.
Sorry I have no suggestions for the ports you listed, hope someone here has good info for you.
Unfortunately I haven't been to the MExican Riviera for about 14 years and I didn't have kids then. However, in Cabo I suggest going on a glass bottom boat ride. Very gentle and a good way for kids to see fish without getting wet! In the other ports, ask your shore excursions desk for suggestions on beaches and/or resorts that you can take a taxi to that are family friendly and accept day visitors. That is what we do a lot -- we have a 10 and 2 year old and I find beaches are best for babies and toddlers.
