I want to take my kids (they will be 13 and 9) next Spring break -- March 2005. I have been thinking of the Western Carribean 5 night cruise on the RCCL Enchantment of the Seas. I would LOVE to do a Voyager class cruise or one of the newer CCL ships, but this one seems more affordable. My kids are seasoned travellers and cruisers and I wonder if it would be worth the extra money for one of the other ships, etc. Anyone have any insight? They just went on the DCL Wonder w/ their dad and did NOT partake of kids programs AT ALL. If I am with my kids just hanging out on a ship I need there to be TONS to do! Any and all help appreciated. THANKS!!!!!!
If you can afford a Voyager class ship, go for it. There is SO much to do other than the kids' program. See my article "Adventure for kids of all ages" on this family section of CM. My 10 year old has been on 15 cruises and rates RCI's youth program the best.
I'd be curious to hear what you decide.
