Hi,

We're booked on Legend for 8/30. I haven't sailed this ship before, but have been on the same class of ship (Granduer, inaugeral season in '97).

So, I can't actually report on Legend, but here's why I booked her:

This class of ship is beautiful and RCI takes pretty good care of their ships, so I expect it to be in good shape, they always have wonderful art and decor and I know we'll enjoy that.

RCI also does a pretty good service on their older ships, and this certainly isn't the oldest. I expect food to be good, probably not great, and service to be friendly and good.

I have been on two older Carnival ships with mixed results, spotty to bad food, good service on 1 (west coast 4-day (good) and one out of Tampa (very bad). I found service and food to be superior on RCI.

We have 3 full port days so you won't be on the ship non-stop. There is plenty to do on sea days, if nothing else, go to the spa for a facial or a massage, that is always relaxing. Also it will be nice and warm and the entertainment should be good.

I'll be interested in your report when you return. Have faith, it should be all-good.

Margie

Thanks so much for your response. I like RC and I and know my family and i will have a great time. I have done an extensive search on shore excuersions. I'm almost sure we will go out on our own. I'll let you know how it goes. God Bless You
