Default which to cruise?

This is the first time that I've posted on any board anywhere! This is also the first time that we're considering a cruise. Obviously I'm going to depend on you to help me with a couple of sensitive issues, so here goes.
My family consists of myself, my husband and our 10 year old daughter with down syndrome. My husband wants to go on a Disney cruise, which is fine with me as we love anything Disney. However, I found a cruise at the same time on the Enchantment for 500.00 less and it's an exta day. Also I like the idea of going to Belize and Cozumel because we'll be going in Febuary and I have heard that the weather is pretty chilly on castaway cay at that time of year.
So, my question is, which do you think that we should go on? Enchantment(RCCL) or Disney?
Thank you so much!

I think either ship would be a wonderful first cruise, both should have good kids programs as well. It is true, the weather that time of year can be chilly at times...Not sure if your husband or yourself likes to gamble, but there is no casin on any of the Disney ships, may-be that will be a consideration?

WE just cruised on the Voyger of the Seas last month, and our family had the best vecation yyet. The Enchantment offers some of the same features, and I'd assume the same quality food (which was amazing). I'd say look at what both trips have to offer, and then make a final decision.

I think the biggest consideration is two-fold. What will our daughter like the most and the cost. I'm thinking since the cruise we want to go on is after the Enchantment stretching, we would get a beautiful ship at a great value. I've also heard wonderful things about the childrens' programs and the people who run them. (On RCCL).
Thanks so much for your replys.

$500? Another day at sea? No question for me....RCCL.

No casino on the Disney and ALL the shows Disney shows keep me away from the Disney line...that and the hefty price tag.

Thank you so much for all of your replies. As fate would have it we went a totally different route! I found a group cruise on another board on the Carnival Liberty. It's for six nights and about the same price as the Enchantment. Actually it's a bit less.
I feel good about this especially since it's our first cruise and the group leader has been helping me out .
Thanks again!

Thank you so much family cruiser. Although I feel good about the decision, it's nice to have people who have gone cruising before back it up with a positive reaction.
Have a good day and again, thank you!
