Default Cruising with 18 Month Old

I will be cruising on NCL in Feb 06 around Hawaii on the Pride of America. I have cruised several times, but never with child and never on NCL.

Are there any activites or services for children under 2 years?
What do I bring?

Any suggestions, advice, or someone who has been there done that would be helpful.

Luisa wrote a great article about cruising w/infants and toddlers. I'd check that out. As far as I know NCL does not offer a program for children under 3. I beleive that Disney is the only line that offers something for children under 2, other than RCL's aquatots program which is new.

Thanks Darcy for compliments on my "Bringing the Baby" article which can be found on the main page of the family cruising section. Also check out the "Hawaii with Kids" article I wrote after going on NCL in Hawaii with my then 20 month old. NCL's program doesn't start until tots are two years old. You're little one will have fun toddling about all the public rooms and going to beaches, etc once in Hawaii.
Smooth sailing,

Thank you all for the advice. I will look up the two articles. I really wanted comments from people who had been there! I called NCL yesterday and they said they have group babysitting from 9-5 on port days and 10 pm till 1am. I am excited about the trip, but just a worrier! I want everyone to have a great time and get to experience this great trip!
Thanks again and Aloha!

I just confirmed w/my NCL contacts that the group babysitting is for those two years and older. I wanted to make sure you weren't under the understanding that if your child is 18 months old at the time of the sailing, that he/she can go to group babysitting. SOrry to be the bearer of bad news!
