Default Bathing a preschooler on the Caribbean Princess

Im just wondering how im going to give my 4yo daughter a bath on board...Any ideas?? She really is afraid of the shower and I dont think the swimming pools are a good substitute for soap and water...

Any clever ideas out there??

Actually on all crusie ships, the shower head comes off to be a European styled shower nozzle so you can direct the water away from the child's face very easily. My 3 year won't shower at home but recently did on a cruise.
Smooth sailing,

I always gave my kids a bath that way when they were young, they actually used to love to hold the nozzle themselves. It was great fun for them and quite the novelty. I must say it was very easy to wash their hair. Have a great trip.

I was also going to say let them hold the nozzle. My son got a kick out of that as he loved to spray everything, including me! I held it when I needed to rinse him off, but now he does it (I only do if he misses a spot). Also, if you can, adjust the spray so it comes out gently, not hard and fast. If shes worried about the water running down into her eyes, look for a foam visor (think Ive seen one in Leaps and Bounds, or One Step Ahead) that she can wear.

Maybe you can start practicing at home now. They sell the removable nozzles pretty cheap now. I replaced the shower head in his bath at home with one (mainly to wash the dog in winter). I would let my son play in the tub, then at the end I used the nozzle to clean him up. At first he was scared and would only use showers that had a removable nozzle when we traveled. It didnt take long though and he was having fun in all showers. Now I cant get him out and he prefers a shower over a bath.

I have not done it yet, but I am planning to get one of those inflateable bathtubs (babiesrus or target) and put it in the shower. Other crusiers have said they did this.
