Default dinner attire for kids

We are sailing on the Elation in Oct., with our three children (DD 14, DS 11, &DS 6). What is required for them to wear for regular dinner in dining room and also for formal nights (we are only doing one)?

Thank you,
Theresa

I have boys and have sailed on Carnival with them 3 times. On casual nights, they wear tan or blue "docker type" khaki pants with a button down shirt (they like hawaiian type shirts, but polos are good too). On formal nights, they wear dress pants, dress shirt and tie and dress shoes. If you have jackets for your boys, bring them. If not, don't worry about it.

For your daughter, some nice sundresses would be great for casual nights, or even better, some mix and match skirt outfits (trying to have you pack light!). On formal night, a nice dress with dress shoes.

exactly what cali-croozer said. Cargo pants are also ok for the boys for casual nights.
Capris and a cute top would be fine also for the girls on casual nights.

Dont forget sometimes it gets cold in the evening on the cruise ship so dont forget to bring sweater or wrap for evenings.

We cruised with 11 yr. old boy who hates to dress up. He sore docker pants and button up shirt. He did not join us for formal night as he made friens on board and hung out with them eating pizza. I did see some of the boys at formal night with the same button up outfit with a tie added.
I could have packed less...Karyn
