Holland America

Has anyone sailed with Holland America lately with younger children (3 to 8 year olds)? I am especially interested in any comments about their vista-class ships. How was their youth program, do they have a cartoon channel on the T.V., how did other passengers respond to the kids in the pool area? Any comments???

We sailed on HAL when my son was 2 and daughter 10 years old. They have a good youth program -- not as action packed as RCCL or Carnival, but it was fun. HAL is in the midst of upgrading its youth facilities on all of its ships and lowering the youth program from 5 to 3 years. You have to check directly w/HAL to see which ships have had their youth rooms enlarged -- those are the ships which will accept 3 year olds in teh program. They also have private babysitting for a fee on HAL.
Smooth sailing,
