I am cruising on the celebration June 2006 with DH and two sons 11 and 15. Can all you veterans and past cruisers offer excursions ideas for Key west and Nassau. I have been to KW but it was strictly adult fun. I have no idea what is ther for family fun. Thanks
There are two articles I wrote on the main family cruising home page on this site that will give you ideas for Nassau. They are "Port Guide for Kids" and "Back to the Beach."
For Key West, there are a number of things kids will like that you can do independently: there are two small museums that showcase treasure found from sunken ships off of Key West; there's a small aquarium; and also Nancy Forrester's Secret Garden which has a fabulous collection of parrots and exotic birds. It's a good city for walking with kids and exploring on your own.
Smooth sailing,

Just keep in mind that if you do opt for an Atlantis shore excursion in Nassau, it usually does NOT include it's fabulous water slides. Your kids might be disappointed that they can't go on the great amenities there other than the aquarium area.
