We've booked our first cruise - Mariner of the Seas to Western Caribbean on November 19, 2006. My husband and I will be traveling with my sons who are 8 & 11, as well as my parents. Will there be lots of kids on board that week since it's Thanksgiving? Do they do anything special on the cruise for Thanksgiving? Also, will that be a formal night?
No question there will lots of kids (and families) on a Thanksgiving cruise. We've done several T day cruises on different lines, and there are always kids.
They do have turkey dinner, and all the trimmings. As to whether it's formal night, that will depend on what night Thanksgiving happens to fall... and if it's not a normal formal night, it's the decision of the ship, as to whether they'll make it so. If they do, they will change it from another night, but won't add an extra formal night.
