I am planning on taking a cruise in Alaska this July. We wanted a trip that was fun for our child and ourselves. We are in our mid 40's. Heard Royal Carribean has great kids program but the service stinks. We are used to staying in high end places and have never taken a cruise. Which ship or line would be the best choice for us?
I went on a Princess cruise when I was about 13, my brother 10... It had amazing service, and although we ourselves did not do the children's program, we heard a lot of great things about it.
we have also cruised Celebrity...their service is unparalleled. Magnificent cruise.... but not as many kids...Though we were seated with a family with a daughter and son about my age....it was more rare than on Princess.
Good luck and happy cruising!!!!
Royal Caribbean does have the best kids' program at sea. I don't think their service stinks -- we've cruised w/them many times. Their food is good but not as good as Celebrity or Princess. Princess' youth program is good (but not as good as RCI) and Celebrity is decent but they don't get as many kids on board. Alaska is a fabulous family destination.
