Freedom of the Seas / out of town

To all CruiseMates.com family message board readers:

I'll be out of town from July 22-August 6 and won't be able to respond to your inquiries. There will be other CruiseMates staff responding to your email during this time and I'll have input upon my return.

During my time away, I'll be cruising the mega-ship, Freedom of the Seas, with my family. We'll be checking out the surfing area, the waterplay area, rock wall, skating rink, etc. and will have plenty to share with you when I write my August article on Freedom's family friendly facilities.

Hi Donna and all of you interested in Freedom of the Seas:
We just got off FOS and it was fabulous! There is SO much to do you better arrive on the ship well rested and ready to be active! My husband enjoyed the Flowrider surfing, teenaged daughter had fun climbing the rock wall, four year old son loved H2O Zone water play and I enjoyed strolling the huge promenade and swimming in the lap pool. We all participated a lot in the family games and activities which are fun and plentiful. The food and service were great too!

I'll write a complete review of it later this month.

Hi Donna:
My top suggestion is to check out the Flowrider early in the a.m., as soon as it opens, esp. on the first full day at sea. Since we've been to Cozumel a lot (2nd day of itin), we checked out Flowrider first thing that day and it was very uncrowded and my husband got lessons too.
