New Here and need Help!!!

Hi My name is Melissa and I am new new here and I am having a hard time figuring out what cruise line (or ship) to use we are looking to travil in March of 2007 there are 2 adults and three children ages 5 (will be almost 6) 4 and will be about 10month old and we are looking for a ship that we can spend time together during most days and have some adult time at night or somrthing on that Idea we are looking to do a 4 or 5 night cruise out of florida so we can also spend some time at disney or other attractions there Please if any one can help me make the right choice I WILL LOVE YAH 4-EVA !!!!

I know that royal caribbean has excelent children programs for all ages. The newer ship have things like mini golf, roller skating, ice skating, game rooms... all of which i am sure your 6 year old would enjoy. On my last royal caribbean cruise, the family that was also at our table had a 6 year old girl. She seemed to have the time of her life. There were activities planned for them throughout the day and mini-slumber parties at night.
Another cruise line to look into is Carnival. This cruise line is very family oriented. I don't know much about their childrens programs, but im sure they are just as good as royal. On the cruises I have been on, most of the people traveling on Carnival are families, (especially on a 4/5 day cruise)

Your best choices are Disney (3 and 4 days out of Orlando; nursery for your 10 month old; great youth programs); Royal Caribbean (also 3/4 days out of Orlando --a ctually Port Canaveral -- and also private babysitting and Fisher Price daily play groups for tots; great youth program for your other kids); and Carnival (also 3/4 days out of Port Canaveral; youth program starts at age 2; group babysitting on port mornings and 10 p.m. at night.)

Disney is by far the best for younger kids. Your 6 and 4 year old kids will love all of the characters on board. The Mickey pool is perfect for them. Palo makes for a great dinner out without the kids. Castaway Key is lots of fun as well.

RCL has great programs as well, but they tend to appeal to older kids - e.g., mini-golf, climbing wall, ...

If I was bringing a 10month old I'd opt for the one that has a Nursery. That would be Disney. We went in june this year with our 4yr old and she had a BLAST! We walked by the nursery, It seemed very quiet and soothing..... I saw staff rocking babies. Just a nice thing to have on a ship for families with little ones. Disney is a bit more pricier though, but I thought it was well worth it. They also have many disney age appropriate areas to drop your child off to be supervised while you and hubby go and have a nice quiet evening/dinner. You can read many disney cruise reader reviews on the reviews page of this site. Have fun cruise shopping!

Disney is a wonderful choice, but do be aware that there are no casinos on board Disney if you like to gamble
