Cabins for Family of 6

I would like to find the least expensive option for a family of 6. We are two adults, two 5 year olds, and two 3 year olds. We don't need a huge amount of space b/c my kids are small & we'll only be in the cabin for sleeping.

Would it make sense to find a ship that will fit the 6 of us in one cabin? Or is it less expensive to get two adjoining cabins?

Which cruiselines and/or ships have cabins for 6?

We have never cruised before. I appreciate any advice you can provide.

Thank you.

Nancy

You may want to check into getting a family suite for your group, may be less expensive than 2 cabins. They do book very quick, so have a travel agent get pricing for you and go from there.

Our friends had a family stateroom on the Radiance and it slept 6. There was so much room and would be perfect for 4 small children. Many of the RCI ships have the family staterooms.
