First Time cruiser with kids cruising on NCL Norwegian Dawn
Hi! This is the first time I've ever been on a cruise, not to mention with two kids ages 2 and 3 1/2. My husband refused to take a flight with the kids, so we decided to choose a cruiseliner that left out of NYC. We will be taking the seven day Bermuda Bahamas cruise in July.
Can anyone offer any tips for survival with two little ones? How are the kids programs? I also heard that if your kid isn't potty trained, they will not allow him in the pool....is that true?
Please any comments would truly be appreciated.
And to answer one of your questions, the children's programs on all the mainline ships are great! If your child isn't potty trained they won't be allowed in the pools (a health issue). I think that Carnival and Disney are the only ships that allows non-potty trained children in their programs (they'll give you a "beeper" and have you come change them if necessary).
Please post on the Family board or the Carnival board to be sure!
Have a wonderful cruise with your family !

Disney ships are the only ones which allow kids in diapers in their kiddie pool. NCL accepts kids 2 years and older in their youth programming, however, counselors don't change diapers and beep you instead. Thus, you can't leave the ship while in port if your kid is in diaper in the youth room.
