Default No swimmies in pool?

Just read on a post somewhere that children are not permitted in RCI pools with swimmies on. Did I misunderstand? We took her on a cruise last year, and I don't recall there being a problem or anyone saying anything to us.

Please advise. Thanks!

Yes, only toilet trained children are allowed in the pools because it is a health issue and accidents do happen. If you did and had an accident, they would have to drain the pool, scrub it and then refill it. You would have a lot of unhappy cruisers. I have seen many with small children bring a small blow up pool for them. I believe I read that Disney allows those type of diapers in their childrens pool.

I spose it depends on what your definition of swimmies are. If you're like me and think that swimmies are those little inflatable armbands that keep kids afloat... those are allowed. If you think that swimmies are like "Lil Swimmers" a/k/a swim diapers a/k/a septic teabags lol....those are not permitted as the previous poster pointed out.

So thats the scoop on the poop, literally. Bon Voyage!

Oops. Sorry for the confusion. I am referring to arm floats. I know that diapers are not permitted. Are arm floats permitted?

I think you could have misunderstood the post just like this post. I have seen small children with the arm swimmies on as well as a lifesaver type ring around them. I don't think those blow up swimming rafts are allowed and have never seen them in any pools but only at different beaches.

Glad I misunderstood. 4 yr daughter wouldn't go in the pool without her swim floaties. Thanks!

I always thought

swimmies = swim diapers
floaties = arm bands

I have seen plenty of arm bands.
