Has anyone read these new deals? They are on smaller lines and I'm not sure if it's worth the free price tag for the kids if there isn't a Camp Carnival atmosphere for the kidos. ( 6 and 7 years old)
repling to my own post...
MSC was the line offering the "Kids Sail Free" offer. After reading some of their customer reviews think we will pass on this. Any other takers?
We went on Costa last spring and my 5 year old had a great time in the kids' program. He also enjoyed the spiral slide on the ship. The youth program hours are a bit European though since they don't start the evening programming until later in the evening. However, there is programming for kids in the a.m. and afternoon. You can read my complete review on the home page of the family cruise section of CM.

I was with my Husband and my 2 KIDS on the MSC Lirica in the CAribbean in 2006. We had such a great time that we booked our Europe cruise on the MSC Orchestra last Year. We returned so happy that we booked already again on the MSC Orchestra for her inaugural Season in the Caribbean in January 2009. Cleanest Ships afloat, Great Entertainment, Pasta & Risotto are truly amazing. And beside all my KIDS were FREE. See their new website
I just booked a Christmas cruise on the Lirica yesterday for me and my girls. All four of us for a little more than $1600. I felt it was a great price to be a Christmas cruise. I couldn't find any other cruise line that was anywhere close to that price. I am also considering the Orchestra over spring break (April 11th) next year. My price for the four of us on that cruise is only $1300. We'll see. I am a little leary due to the mixed reviews. However, I do like to try new lines and I will decide for myself.
MSC Cruises does offer ALL cruises FREE for kids all year long.
Costa usually offers kids free just during the winter Carib season.
Very good deals for families of four or more.
I haven't tried MSC yet but went on Costa last year and we had a great time.
