We are taking our DD on her 1st cruise in May on the Fascination. Can anyone explain (other than - upper / lower bunk) what kind of bed I can expect for her? Do I need to worry about her falling out or will the couch pull out? I am a bit nervous about this part. Thanks!
I suggest you have her sleep in the pull out couch that the steward will make up every night. I did bring a portable bed railing when my kids were toddlers since once my daughter quietly rolled out of bed and cont'd to sleep on the floor unbeknowst to us! I think Safety First makes a portable one that we fit in a large suitcase.

Do all the couches pull out on the Carnival ships? I ask because as I look at the deck plans it says about upper and lower bunks and I would prefer the couch senario. Thanks
Often the lower berth is a couch that's made up into a bed by your steward at bed time. The Upper berth pulls down above the couch at bedtime, also done by your steward.

Thanks for the info. As we were told it was a "bunk" I was afraid. I think before it is too late I will call Carnival to see what the "bunk" is. This site is great
